System Operation

The operation of a hydrocarbon separator begins with a decanting of the heavy materials. By means of the difference of specific weights or density, between water and solid materials, these are located in the lower part of the tank. Subsequently, the water mixed with the hydrocarbon passes to the next compartment, passes through the coalescence, where the small drops of hydrocarbon, which due to their small volume could not be separated, will collect and form larger drops.

Finally, our hydrocarbon separators incorporate a device consisting of an obturation formed by a buoy, whose mission is to prevent the exit of hydrocarbons and block the output in case of exceeding the maximum capacity of retention of the tank.
