Our manufacturing methods are based on the ISO 9001 quality standard and the calculation and construction standards for AD-Merkblatt, UNE EN-13121, UNE EN-1092-2, UNE EN-976-1, UNE EN-62350-4, prEN-976, UNE EN-53496:2007, UNE EN-1825, UNE EN-858, MIE APQ-006, etc. . The calculation methods, the requirements of the raw materials, as well as the tests corresponding to these equipments are carried out under these codes, guaranteeing in this way the correct functioning of the same ones.

All BUPOLSA tanks are subject to current safety standards, approved with N.R.S. 3900917/BU.

In addition, it has been authorised since 1994 by the Directorate General for Industry, Energy and Mines of the Ministry of Economy and Finance to manufacture polyester tanks for storing hydrocarbons, for which it has been certified by the ATISAE entity on compliance, both of the project and of those manufactured, with standard UNE 53496-53.

In our facilities we have high quality production systems for the manufacture of our products.

Thus, we have 4 mandrels for the process of "FilamentWinding" or continuous thread winding, by means of which we obtain ferrules of different dimensions with diameters ranging from 400 mm to 4200 mm and lengths of up to 15000 mm with capacities that can reach 250,000 liters. We also manufacture pipes with diameters between 25 and 400 mm.

Regarding the manufacturing process of simultaneous projection of fiber and polyester resin "Hand Lay-Up", our technical specialists are backed by more than 45 years of experience and have the most complete equipment for it, being the first European company in the implementation of a robot for the simultaneous manufacture of more than one bottom of the tanks.

Thus, we have moulds for the manufacture of the bottoms of the different diameters that we even manufacture cones, and moulds for the manufacture of our Eurosilos, rectangular type MEL, cylindrical tubs, GRP cradles, etc.

The double wall tanks developed by BUPOLSA for the storage of hydrocarbons have the patent number 2644, having been catalogued as UTILITY MODEL.

The technical characteristics of the equipment manufactured by BUPOLSA are:

  • Interior and exterior smooth and very rich in polyester
  • A high percentage of fiberglass to maintain high mechanical strength
  • High corrosion resistance
  • Resistance to both low and high temperatures
  • Perfect evacuations
  • Low weight
  • Totally neutral taste and smell, with full hygienic guarantees.

In the manufacture of our glass fibre reinforced polyester (GRP) tanks, first quality resins are always used, specific for each case, to ensure the properties of specific substances to be stored in the food, chemical and agricultural industries.... In this way the chemical barrier is applied by means of resins such as:

  • Orthophthalic
  • Isophthalic
  • Bisphenolic
  • Vinilister
  • Novolaca
  • Fire Resins
  • High temperature resins with an HDT of up to 210ºC

With regard to the surface finish, our equipment is finished with glossy aliphatic polyurethane paint that provides protection against ultraviolet radiation and other external agents... giving a higher quality appearance and prolonging their life.

The experience that BUPOLSA has been acquiring throughout its 35 years of trajectory has made it expand its market beyond neighboring borders and exporting all over the world. We stand out for being specialists in transforming customers' design needs into our specific application of Fibreglass Reinforced Polyester.

Our technical engineering team will adapt to your specific needs depending on the use, type of product, working pressure and temperature, type of emptying/filling, etc. Do not hesitate to contact us and we will advise you on the dimensions, the type of accessories to be used, the thickness of the walls, the appropriate resins, the surface finish and, in short, everything that has to do with the design of your tank.
